Jari : "The mix has been cancelled and the release of "Time" is delayed even more. I´m sorry to disappoint everyone...again, but the album is not gonna be released this year. And unfortunately Nino has the Sonic Pump Studios booked full for this year, so we might have to think of something else."

Quelques explications supplémentaires de Jari sur le pourquoi du retard :

"Reason for this delay is that, I´ve set the bar really high on this album, but my equipment aren´t even close to what I need. I have to do a LOT of workarounds which is very time consuming.
Then all the thousand technical problems added into the mix isn´t helping. Basically every piece of gear has been broken at one time or another during the making of this album, feels like there´s a curse.
Takes ages to solve the problems.

All this has made me very frustrated and un-inspired. Hasn´t helped with my stress about the deadlines either, slowing me even more. I work the best when I´m happy and lots of times I haven´t been. It´s been the most difficult record to make in my life".


Et quelques infos sur le bouzin :

"The album is very huge, I don´t know if it´s gonna fit even in the 74 minutes of a CD. The track count is very high, about 200 tracks per song. So it´s almost like two albums in one (or three Slayer albums ). But I´m gonna finish this, no matter what.

All the drums, bass and all guitars (rhythms/melodys/solos and acoustics) has been recorded. Then I´ve pretty much finished with the intro, that I´ve decided to include on the album. Really atmospheric and huge with some magical Japanese influences.
I´ve also started to compose and arrange the synths. I´m trying to avoid the basic (and boring) layering chord stuff and create something really cool to boost the magic of the songs into new dimensions. I haven´t been able to start singing yet, because my preamp and mike "died", but hopefully soon I can".

Pour l'instant, tout est en stand-by bicoze le matos de Jari plante constamment.

I´ve been dealing with shit so long and I haven´t had one break, just problems after another... there must definitely be some kind of curse !"

"It's all about money now. The project is just too massive for PCs to handle and i guess the only solution is a radical one and change to mac type of computer.
The memory runs out all the time and the orchestrations are a big part of the new album so they are important to get there.
It´s sad that so great music stays on a damn computer and all because we don´t have enough budget !"


Résultat : les membres du forum ont décidé de se cotiser et d'envoyer du blé à Jari afin qu'il se paye du matos plus performant et que le boulot sur l'album avance.

Heu, il manque de fric et il veut prendre des macs à la place de PCs ?

Les choses se précisent. Ils se sont démerdés avec leur label. Les fans n'ont plus besoin de se cotiser. :

"We've got enough money to buy another computer and it is a Mac type of computer and should have enough power to make this project to an end and help us finish with the orchestrations.
We really had a nice chat with Nuclear Blast and i played some unfinished clips for them and they liked it a lot.
So we hope that finally we can continue working in a much better way and also this helps us in the future to avoid this same drama like it has been.

So all the thanks to our manager Stefan and Andy from NB to get things rolling.

Now we got some good offers from Finnish Mac distributors and in a couple of days there should be a new Mac to be ordered.
It will take a couple of weeks to arrive after ordering and then it´s a lot of work to Jari to transfer all the files and all other stuff that we need to continue working".

Il a vraiment intérêt à être bien cet album depuis le temps qu'on l'attend

Et ça continue... Va falloir attendre 2009, maintenant. Putain de bordel de merde.


Jari : "Last December I started having problems with my throat. So I haven´t been able to sing in 5-6 months. This would have been the perfect time to make the synths, but we had computer problems at the same time, so basically I couldn´t do anything in the last 5-6 months, except deal with the problems. So that has really killed me from inside.

It´s gonna be twice as hard from here on, because I´ve lost the vision/inspiration/excitement (or whatever you call it), that I had in the beginning. Because I´ve constantly just battled with problems.

But I assure you there´s light at the end of the tunnel. Things are definately looking better. There´s no problems anymore, that can stop me completely from working. I´ve carefully started singing again and composing the synths, so at least things are now moving forward again.

I´ve finished the intro, which has approx 300 tracks. 100 midi and 200 audio and let me tell you it sounds quite orgasmic !
Vocals are about 50% done and synths & samples 30% done. Still a lot of work, the album won't be out before 2009, but we'll prevail !"

Ca finit par sonner comme une succession d'excuses à la con. Ca commence à faire carrément beaucoup.

Je vais assez souvent sur le forum pour savoir où les choses en sont, et je pense que Jari et Kai sont sincères.
Ils prennent le temps d'expliquer leurs galères et leurs plannings sur plusieurs pages et ont l'air vraiment emmerdés que les choses avançent aussi lentement.

Mais c'est vrai que ça fait chier. Dire qu'il devrait être sorti depuis 1 an et demi... Il a intérêt à être énorme pour compenser l'attente.

Oui ils sont surement sincères mais à la longue ça finit par faire un peu gros quoi.

Comme dirait l'autre "le sort s'acharne".

Dans la prochaine update, ils diront peut-être qu'ils ont le moral dans les chaussettes et qu'ils ont perdu toute motivation parce qu'ils entendu le nouvel album de Judas Priest...

Ca avance... au rythme d'une tortue neurasthénique, Okay, mais ça avance quand même.
Quelques niouzes :

"As you know, there are 7 actual songs on the new album. There´s also a separate intro and an outro that's part of the last song. And we've decided that all songs will be tied together with orchestral interludes.
So, the album will be like one fucking huge song !
We've just finished recording Sons of Winter and Stars. And I can tell it's the most gigantic stuff ever. It's 14 minute long and includes influences from Japanese Folk music.
Ther's still a lot of work to do, but the whole thing is shaping up !"


Plein d'interludes qui lient le bazar... Comme sur le dernier JUDAS, en fait. (vu qu'il va pas réussir à s'en empêcher, j'attends que Sasayaki vienne faire une vanne ).
Faudrait pas qu'ils en fassent trop côté arrangements non plus... A chaque fois, ils annoncent qu'ils rajoutent plein de trucs, des machins orchestraux et tout le bordel... Faut savoir s'arrêter à un moment donné. Point trop n'en faut.

Ah, ça peut être sympa, on verra ce que ça va donner.
