Kataklysm - In the Arms of Devastation
Bon on a déjà des infos sur le nouvel album des canadiens, qui evoluent dans le death metal je le rappelle, ça ne sortira qu'en 2006 mais ils nous mettent déjà l'eau à la bouche
As previously reported, the drum tracks for KATAKLYSM's upcoming album, "In the Arms of Devastation", were recorded at Studio Victor, with the highly anticipated return of oginal drummer Max Duhamel. The rest of the album wil be recorded at guitarist J-F Dagenais's JFD studios over the remainder of the summer.
"In the Arms of Devastation"'s release will mark the band's 15th anniversary and will be celebrated with the band's first-ever DVD, "The Test of Time". The disc, which is scheduled for release later in 2006, will feature documentary-style footage spanning the band's career from 1991 to 2005, including the "making of" the new album, live footage, clips, interviews and tons of other goodies
Avec comme invité dessus, Morgan Lander de Kittie déjà annoncée

Canadian death metallers KATAKLYSM have completed work on their eighth studio album, "In the Arms of Devastation", for a February 20, 2006 release through Nuclear Blast Records.
Commented guitarist/producer Jean-François Dagenais: "After having spent two months behind the production helm for the new KATAKLYSM album, we have now achieved what we wanted from A to Z, I've worked extremely hard on this record to get it to sound like no other KATAKLYSM album and I must say when you have the time to work on something, it DOES benefit greatly! I'm really happy with the results we have. Everyone in the band gave 150 percent and I can't wait for everyone to hear this album. I have to agree with one of Maurizio's [vocals] previous statement when he said this album on a technical side and with it's blazing tempos has been the most difficult album for me to record my guitar tracks... [it] felt like at some point my wrist and fingers were gona give in! But it was well worth the pain!"
"In The Arms of Devastation" track listing:
01. Temptation's Nest
02. Let Them Burn
03. Crippled & Broken
04. Open Scars
05. To Reign Again
06. In Words of Desperation
07. Like Angels Weeping the Dark
08. It Turns to Rust
09. The Road to Devastation

Nuclear Blast Records will re-release KATAKLYSM's latest album, "In the Arms of Devastation", in North America to coincide with the extensive U.S. touring plans the band has going for 2007. The album is to be reissued in January 2007 with new packaging and will contain the "The End of Serenity: Live in Strassbourg" DVD, which was filmed during the "Serenity in Fire" campaign in France. The CD will also contain all of the band's video clips and will be limited to 5,000 copies.
As previously reported, KATAKLYSM will team up with NEAERA (Germany), FEAR MY THOUGHTS (Germany) and QUO VADIS (Canada) for the "Road to Devastation" European tour, which is scheduled to kick off in January 2007.
KATAKLYSM filmed their performance this past summer at the Party.San Open Air festival in Bad Berka, Germany for their new DVD, titled "Live In Deutschland (The Devastation Begins)". The set will feature the whole show filled with an explosive setlist, a 30-minute documentary covering the band's 15-year history and a bonus live CD. An early 2007 release via Nuclear Blast is expected.
