Déjà le truc qui commence comme ça, c'est pas crédible.
Sacrés Manowar

Warriors Of The World est un excellent album.
Faire une reprise d'un air d'opéra, fallait oser et surtout fallait que ça sonne: merci Eric Adams.
Je trouve même l'interlude de musique classique intéressant.
Bien sûr Call To Arms, Warriors Of The World United, House Of Death et autres sont d'excellents titres de pur Manowar.
Sword In The Wind est une chanson magnifique, plein de feeling.
Par contre le seul titre que j'aime pas c'est la reprise d'une chanson sudiste chantée entre autre par Elvis Presley... j'ai beau l'écouter, j'accroche pas.

Le meilleur album de Manowar? je ne rentrerais pas dans ce débat sans intérêt, chacun ses préférences.

J'espere que le prochain album sortira vraiment début 2006... mais j'y crois pas trop!

Warriors of the world est un album décevant comme tout ce qu'a fait manowar depuis le départ de Ross the boss.

Bon il est meilleur que louder mais ça c'est pas bien difficile.
Comme ce dernier Manowar a fait du remplissage par manque d'inspiration : reprise inutile et naze d'Elvis, parail pour Nessum dorma qui sert uniquement à prouver les capacités vocales d'Eric ADams (comme si on savait pas qu'il était doué) mais musicalement l'interêt est nul, puis des interludes instru sans interêt. Reste un single sympathique : le title track, trés inspiré du monster of rock de Judas Priest. Et le morceau d'ouverture qui est effectivement bien efficace et épique. Et on peut également noter que les soli de Karl Logan se sont un peu amélioré.
Le reste : des ballades moyennes qui ne soutiennent pas la comparaison avec les précédentes, et des morceaux speed à la fin de l'album, qui bien que sympathique ne volent pas bien haut non plus. Manowar fait preuve d'un manque d'inspiration flagrant pour creer de bons riffs et se cache sous une prod énorme (qui lui faisait défaut dans les 80's) pour masquer ses faiblesses.

Manowar eux même avouent avoir plus de mal à composer, et quand on voit le pauvre rythme auquel ils sortent des albums on se rend bien compte de leur difficulté à composé. J'espère que le prochain album sera meilleur, s'ils le sortent un jour!


A la rigueur Warriors aurait pu faire un bon maxi :

Call to arms
Warriors
Hand of doom
House of death
Fight until we die (limite celle là)

Je n'écoute jamais les autres morceaux en entier tent ils cassent cet album!

Manowar:
Beaucoup trop d'albums mitigés pour de si grandes gueules avec trop peu de vrai bons titres dedans.
A mon avis tous les titres valables tiennent sur un CD de 74mn

C'est un fan de Helloween toute époque confondue qui vient expliquer ça ? Warf warf...

Manowar a tout de même à son actif une bonne poignée d'albums nickel de bout en bout :
- Sign of the hammer
- Hail to England
- Kings of metal

Ces trois là me semblent incontestables (même si on n'aime pas Manowar).

En suite les fans s'écharpent sur certains autres albums.
A titre perso je trouve Fighting the world et Louder than hell irréprochable qualitativement. Battle hymns est sympa mais a vieilli.
Triumph of steel est probablement le disque le plus controversé (pour moi c'est le plus faible)
Quant à Warriors of the world c'est moyen.

Je parle pas de Into glory ride parce que j'avais détesté cet album mais je ne l'ai pas réécouté depuis des années, du coup je ne me souviens même pas des chansons.

Tout ça pour dire que Manowar pourrait fourrer plus d'un CD de 74 minutes dans l'oignon de nullités comme Michael Weikath (pour rester sur exemples de carrière médiocre).

Heavy REM je t'aime

Pour Manowar bah comme toi, à part que je trouve pas Into Glory Ride si mauvais, je le trouve correct.
Mais bon faut aussi souligné qu'ils ont des bons lives. Pas tous écoutés en entier donc je vais pas trop dévelloper mais je ne saurais trop conseiller Hell on Wheels qui est vraiment bien. (malgré quelques longueurs, j'avoue.)

suis d'accord avec le REM!
bon ptet pas en ce qui concerne HELLOWEEN mais pour MANOWAR on ne parle souvent que du coté "risible" de ce groupe alors qu'il a pondu de veritable merveilles: bridge of death, guyana, hail and kill......
et puis ERIC ADAMS est un putain de chanteur!
