AVALERA CONSPIRACY, the band led by brothers and founding SEPULTURA members Max (also of SOULFLY) and Igor Cavalera, will release its fourth album, "Psychosis", on November 17 via Napalm Records. The disc, which was produced by longtime friend Arthur Rizk, was recorded primarily at a studio in Phoenix, Arizona.

Speaking to Metal Wani's Jake Patton, Max stated about the follow-up to 2014's "Pandemonium": "The album right now is finished. It was produced by Arthur Rizk, our friend and a great producer — an upcoming, underground producer. And he did a great job. I love the record. There are nine songs. We've got one song with Justin [Broadrick] from GODFLESH — just a great NAILBOMB, GODFLESH, CAVALERA kind of song. The rest is all pure thrash madness. And we had it mastered a couple of days ago by Joel Grind from TOXIC HOLOCAUST; he mastered the album. And it's great, man. It's a beast of an album. I think a lot of people are are gonna be surprised when they hear it. It's, for me, the best of all the CAVALERA albums, my favorite one. And it's got the same intensity and energy of the old stuff like [SEPULTURA's] 'Beneath The Remains' and 'Arise'. So a lot of people are gonna be happy to hear that."

CAVALERA, le projet des frères Max et Igor Cavalera, anciens membres de SEPULTURA, a annoncé les réenregistrements du premier EP Bestial Devastation (1985) et premier album complet Morbid Visions (1986). Ces enregistrements seront prochainement disponibles chez Nuclear Blast.

Il s’agit des premières sorties de SEPULTURA, juste avant l’arrivée du guitariste Andreas Kisser en 1987. Pour rappel, le guitariste/chanteur Max Cavalera a quitté le groupe en 1996 et le batteur et percussionniste Igor Cavalera en 2006. Ils ont lancé ensemble CAVALERA CONSPIRACY en 2007.

Max Cavalera commente : « Comme nous devenons plus difficiles année après année, il faut parfois revenir à l’endroit où tout a commencé ! Nous avons réenregistré Bestial Devastation et Morbid Visions avec le son incroyable de NOW, mais avec son esprit brut et intemporel. La pochette reflète l’époque dans laquelle nous vivons actuellement…. Apocalyptique comme l’enfer ! Nous avons également deux nouveaux morceaux avec des riffs de cette époque, dont on se souvient par cœur. »

Igor Cavalera déclare : « J’ai toujours eu l’impression que les enregistrements de nos premiers travaux ne rendaient pas justice à la façon dont nous interprétions les chansons. C’est donc un moment très spécial dans nos vies et nous sommes très fiers de vous montrer, à vous les vrais fans, notre véritable représentation de nos incroyables albums Bestial Devastation & Morbid Visions avec une identité visuelle de folie… profitez-en et rendez-vous dans la fosse ! »

Morbid Visions et Bestial Devastation ont été réenregistrés au Platinum Underground et ont été produits par les musiciens eux-mêmes, Max Cavalera et Igor Cavalera, avec l’ingénieur studio John Aquilino. L’album a été mixé et masterisé par Arthur Rizk. Les artworks sont réalisés par Eliran Kantor.
