British doom/goth metal pioneers PARADISE LOST have announced the re-release of their seminal 1995 album "Draconian Times"; 16 years since it first stormed the charts.

Sony Music will reissue "Draconian Times" through the "Legacy" series; which will feature the entire digitally re-mastered album including a 5.1 Dolby Surround mix in a brand-new collector's edition digipak box set, so fans can hear the album like never before!

Along with this release, the band will perform "Draconian Times" live at a series of seven exclusive gigs in the following select cities around Europe: Utrecht, Bochum, London, Paris, Athens, and Thessaloniki.

Due to the unique and exciting nature of these events, PARADISE LOST will issue a small, limited number of VIP packages at all seven concerts. These will include:

* VIP laminate and lanyard
* The opportunity to meet and greet the band
* Have your photo taken with Paradise Lost
* Access to a closed sound-check before the gig
* Early access to the concert
* VIP goody bag (PL draw-string bag containing an exclusive T-Shirt and other exciting memorabilia)

VIP tickets will be exclusively available from the band's web site and go on general sale on Friday, November 19.

Commented PARADISE LOST frontman Nick Holmes: "It's going to be amazing to play the 'Draconian Times' shows again.

"'Draconian Times' was a huge success for the band; it seemed to be exactly the right album to do at the right time, and to a certain degree was definitely the end of a chapter for the band. We always considered the album to be a 'better' version of its predecessor, 'Icon', and using [producer] Simon Effemy again for the third time, I think we were all on the same hymn sheet and knew exactly what we wanted and what the album should sound like.

"We had done a pretty extensive touring schedule for the 'Icon' album before it, and there was already a decent buzz around about the band.

"In the 1990s without the Internet you could only really gauge how things were going once you walked onto the stage and saw how the crowd responded to songs! But after the 'Draconian Times' album was released, the response was phenomenal.

"Knowing that 'Draconian Times' is still considered by many as being among their favorite albums of all time fills me with great pride, and I'm very grateful to have been part of it all and now having the chance to be here again playing it in its entirety is phenomenal. Bon bah là c'est clair, je viens.

Ghost devait passer à Paris le 13 avril, j'espère que c'est pas remplacé par cette date, parce qu'au Glazart ils devaient être en tête d'affiche.

En tout cas, du coup, j'y serai.

Bin justement ça semble râpé pour cette date : Ghost a annulé sa tournée.

L'orga hésite à maintenir la date avec Blood Ceremony + un autre groupe (peut être In Solitude, ce qui serait cool certes, mais bon ils font déjà le Hellfest...).

Donc ça fait bien chier, mais on les verra en première partie de PL, c'est toujours ça.

Merde, ben raison de plus pour aller à ce concert effectivement.

Ca me saoule parce que ça tombe le même jour que Uli Jon Roth au Nouveau Casino... Heureusement que j'avais pas encore pris ma place pour lui.

Mais je suis quand même content que le concert ne soit pas annulé !

Bon, on m'invite à Strasbourg ce week-end là. J'vais y aller sans regret si y'a pas Ghost (déjà vu PL 3 fois).
Du coup j'me ferai rembourser.

C'était naze.

Naze? Le son? L'attitude? L'interprétation? Moi pour compenser mon absence, j'ai racheté le disque en nouvelle édition

J'ai trouvé ce concert excellent, largement meilleur qu'il y a un an et demi. Bon son (à part Holmes un poil en retrait), Holmes qui s'est démerdé, présence d'un clavier sur scène, qui faisait aussi les choeurs (plus de samples donc, en tout cas moins).

Et puis la setlist est imbattable (bon ça aurait pu être plus long mais bon...)
