As first reported by BLABBERMOUTH.NET yesterday, British extreme epic power metallers DRAGONFORCE have now officially confirmed the departure of lead singer ZP Theart.

"It is with great regret that DRAGONFORCE announce a parting of the ways with singer ZP Theart," the group writes in a statement. "This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion but the rest of the band sincerely wishes ZP great success with his future projects.

"While the creative core members have begun writing the fifth album, they have also started a worldwide search for a new vocalist."

"We are looking for a powerful, melodic singer to write a new chapter of DRAGONFORCE with us," added guitarist Herman Li.

DRAGONFORCE's latest album, 2008's "Ultra Beatdown", sold 24,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 18 on The Billboard 200 chart.

DRAGONFORCE had its first two studio albums — "Valley Of The Damned" and "Sonic Firestorm" — reissued on February 22, 2010 via Spinefarm Records U.K. Both titles were made available with updated packaging and bonus audio/DVD content, some of it exclusive to these releases.

Le chanteur a peut-être réécouté Ultra Beatdown et s'est dit que quitte à rien avoir à dire après Inhuman Rampage, autant pas sortir de disques.

Tu l'aimes pas ? Je le trouve supérieur à Inhuman Rampage, plus varié, moins compact, plus aéré.

C'est marrant ça. C'est quoi les divergences d'opinion ? Il voulait chanter du AC.DC ?

Non je ne l'ai pas aimé. J'ai trouvé qu'il n'apportait rien après IR, et que la diversification ratée était un aveu de faiblesse ("quoi qu'on fait maintenant ?") plutôt qu'autre chose.

Bon chanteur, mais plutôt le maillon faible du groupe; je suis un grand fan de la chanson "Cry For Eternity" dans laquelle le Mec s'impose un peu... par son chant.

J'ai zappé pendant des années les sorties et j'avoue avoir été hyper déçu par Angra, Rhapsody, un peu moins par Edguy, encore moins par Blind Guardian, même si "A Twist in The Myst" est une grosse merde, par contre "Dragonforce" a repris le flambeau du speed mélodique à mon sens.

Après, le dernier est un peu moins bon, je trouve, ouais, pseudo tentative de diversification ratée peut-être; je trouve surtout qu'ils ont un style qui leur est propre et que ce n'est clairement pas le chanteur qui l'apporte.

Je suis d'accord c'était clairement le maillon faible du groupe. Je pense que son départ peut être une bonn echose...s'ils ne le remplacent pas par un clone.

Le dernier album était plutôt pas mal, évolution dans la continuité, des disque de cette qualité dans ce genre là en plus y'en a à peu qui sortent désormais.
