NEW FLESH!

The legend says that a mythical creature named phoenix could be resurrected from its ashes. It is also says that those who carry the spirit of "burning phoenix" are unstoppable, even by the flames of an "infernal sun", as they possess the "ophidian will" to carry on, beyond all obstacles. But enough with cryptic talks and hints... Let it be known that legendary SEPTIC FLESH have returned! Greek daemons Seth, Chris Antoniou, Sotiris V. and Fotis Benardo are back as they decided that besides their experimentation with different projects and musical paths, the path of the Flesh was not completely explored. And they have more nightmares to share...

SEPTIC FLESH will record their sixth full length album under the flag of Season of Mist. The yet untitled album will carry all the elements that made the sound of SEPTIC FLESH so distinctive. There will be pale, strange guitar melodies, brutal and sharp riffing, the devil behind the mic, and of course the neoclassical arrangements that are trademark of Chris Antoniou.

For that purpose alone, Chris the "gothic maestro" will torture a full orchestra and choir respectively made of 80 musicians and 32 singers! The rest of the album will be recorded and mixed on what has become the temple of the past two musical rituals of SEPTIC FLESH. Yes, once again they have chosen to invade the famous Fredman studios, with the company of Fredrik Nordstrom.

Followers of the dreamlord rejoice. The time is approaching for "Communion". The Greek demons SEPTICFLESH (now in one word) are back with a new album on Season of Mist, containing 9 gates to unearthly dreams and nightmares. The "rituals" of "Communion" took place in the famous Studio Fredman in Sweden. The massive heavy guitar sound of the album is supported by a haunting triumphant orchestration that surpasses every past attempt of the band on that field. The classical arrangements are composed and directed by Chris Antoniou (guitarist) and performed by the 80 part full orchestra and 32 part choir of philharmonic orchestra of Prague. As a result the music besides being brutal is also very "visual", like the soundtrack of an occult movie projected straight to your mind. Concerning the vocals, Seth is growling as a hellish beast in contrast with the melodic, yet intense and emotive vocals of Sotiris V. This album is definitely the more dark, brutal and at the same time avant-garde release of the band to date, crossing the borders of Death and Black metal. Yes, this album is not recommended to people resonating with holy ideals and bright emotions.

On March 17th, 2008 and March 25th, 2008 in the US the gates will open for the public and you will have the chance to join "Communion" and experience the emotions that come from songs like "Lovecraft's Death", "Anubis", "Babel's Gate", "Persepolis".

J'adore les derniers albums du groupe. Là ça a l'air encore plus ambitieux. Soit satu soit ils se gauffent lamentablement... C'était la pensée du jour.

Pour ma part oui. Il est un peu strange mais il reste accrocheur. J'adore l'ambiance apocalytpique. Je crois que je préfère Sumerian Daemons quand même.

En ,fait j'ai jamais accroché à revolution DNA, trop bizarre oui.
Je préfère nettement les premiers albums dont "Esopteron".
Enfin, "Fallen temple" est très bien aussi.

à part le premier j'aime tout leurs album, vivement ce new one et un concert en france (remember le club dunois !!)

très bonne nouvel que ce retour de septic flesh, j'adore ce groupe et est un de mes groupes de death préféré, sinon je trouve que revolution dna est un album assez accrocheur, meme si je préfère également sumerian daemons

La sortie de ce prochain opus est prévu le 17 mars de cette année.

Lovecraft's Death

Oulà, ça a pas l'air de rigoler si tout est de cet acabit ! C'est un chouilla trop violent à mon gout, la batterie aime bien les blast beats, mais ça a a quand même l'air bien prometteur, et le penchant symphonique est également présent de fort belle manière.
