Naissance du super groupe O.R.k, qui pourrait donner quelque chose de bien : Le site du groupe a écrit: Drawing on the singular talents of vocalist and producer Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (Berserk!, Obake), innovative guitarist Carmelo Pipitone (Marta sui Tubi) and internationally renowned musicians Pat Mastelotto (King Crimson) and Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree) O.R.k. is an intriguing collaborative album which defies easy categorization yet remains gratifyingly accessible. Debut album “Inflamed rides” fuses primordial energy with playful acoustic psychedelia and precise math rock, but with an added seasoning of intense ambient electronica. Across the ten tracks, O.R.k illuminate a deep subconscious landscape, rich with controlled chaos and populated with archetypal forms and characters. Highlights include the mezmerising ‘Pyre’, accompanied by a stunning animated video from Oktopus Productions and the jarring urgency of “Funfair” which promises entertaining rides in the most intimidating manner. Imposing, but also encompassing a hypnotic, powerful beauty, O.R.k. is a forward thinking, mischievous slap around the head of complacency, and a captivating listen from start to finish. Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari (aka Lef) – vocals, keys Carmelo Pipitone – guitars Colin Edwin – bass Pat Mastelotto – drums |

http://theprogressiveaspect.net a écrit: We reported back in January that David Cross & Robert Fripp, musicians who need no introduction here, would be releasing, Starless Starlight: “A beautiful and unexpected collision of violins and Soundscapes.” in May. Now confirmed, the album released through Noisy Records and available through Burning Shed will be available on the 4th May 2015. Starless Starlight is “a fascinating album length exploration of a melody – composed by David Cross and Robert Fripp – that emerged as one of the key themes on the King Crimson masterpiece, Starless”. “The melody resurfaced in two improvisations performed and recorded by Fripp in 2006 and these recordings plus the Starless theme itself were subsequently transformed and augmented by David Cross (and co-producer Tony Lowe).” David Cross along with David Jackson (VdGG), Yumi Hara (The Artaud Beats) and Tony Lowe (Producer\Guitarist\Composer) will be performing tracks from the Starless album on 26th May 2015 at The Bedford in Balham. More about this can be found in the TPA News from April – HERE. TRACK LISTING Cross & Fripp01. Starless Starlight Loops 02. In The Shadow 03. Shine And Fall 04. Starless Theme 05. Avec des musiciens de folie : - Elio Lori / bass - Nicola Lori / guitars - Stefano Panunzi / keyboards, loops - Angelo Strizzi / drums, percussion - Haco / vocals - Mick Karn / bass - Tim Bowness / vocals - Gavin Harrison / drums - Richard Barbieri / keyboards - Andrea Chimenti - Peter Chilvers - Nicola Alesini Et bien ils sortent dans peu de temps leur second album, Words Are All We Have, avec toujours un line-up de malades : - Stefano Panunzi / keyboards, programming - Nicola Lori / bass, guitars With: - Jakko M. Jakszyk (The Tangent, Kompendium, Lifesigns) / vocal, guitar - Nicola Alesini / sax - Mike Applebaum / trumpet - Tim Bowness (Henry Fool, No-Man) / vocal (8) - Cristiano Capobianco / drums - Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree, No-Man, King Crimson, Blackfield, Steve Thorne) / drums - Daniele Iacono (Ezra Winston) / drums - Giampaolo Rao / drums - 05Ric / bass, guitar |

Nouvel album de CALIGULA'S HORSE ! Et vu le dernier il ne peut être que fantastique ! http://www.dprp.net/ a écrit: Melding the forthright intensity of rock with the skill and inventiveness of progressive metal, Brisbane’s CALIGULA’S HORSE have announced an October 16 release of their 3rd album ‘Bloom’ through InsideOutMusic, as well as extensive Australian and European tour dates. ‘Bloom’ follows 2011’s colourful and dynamic debut ‘Moments From Ephemeral City’, and 2013’s critically acclaimed dark narrative concept album ‘The Tide, the Thief & River’s End’, an album that Metal Obsession hailed as ‘nearly perfect’. “‘Bloom’ is very special to all of us – it’s an album full of colour and life, vibrance and energy, but one that breathes in and out with a natural ebb and flow,” says lead vocalist Jim Grey. “It’s exactly what we hoped to achieve with Caligula’s Horse. To us, this album has a life of its own.” Equal parts grandiose and crushing, melodic and energetic, enjoy the first taste of Caligula’s Horse’s third record ‘Bloom’ right this moment. Bon chanteur.

Tim BOWNESS – Stupid Things That Mean The World – 2015 Encore un superbe album de Mister BOWNESS, d'un charme mélancolique irrésistible. Une musique plutôt douce, qui ne néglige cependant pas quelques envolées lyriques ou rythmes incandescents. Riche et subtil, un disque qui fait extrêmement plaisir à entendre pour peu que l'on soit sensible... à la sensibilité du Tim. |
