L'ancien chanteur de Led Zep va sortir son prochain album, Mighty Rearranger, le 25 avril (en Angleterre), le single, Shine It All Around, arrivera quand à lui le 18.
J'espère que le style sera plus proche de son dernier, Dreamland, que de quelques trucs assez nazes qu'il a pu sortir avant.

Launch Radio Networks is reporting that former LED ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant is expected to announce a U.S. release date soon for his new solo album, "Mighty Rearranger". The 12-track album comes out in the U.K. on April 25, with a single, "Shine It All Around", due out April 18. It's Plant's first studio set since 2002's "Dreamland", although his 2003 retrospective, "Sixty Six To Timbuktu", also featured some new recordings.

Plant recorded "Mighty Rearranger" last year in Wales and England, with a group called the STRANGE SENSATION.

Plant kicks off a short U.S. tour on March 11 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He'll also be delivering the keynote speech and performing at this year's South By Southwest music festival on March 17 in Austin, Texas.

Plant will also take part in a tsunami relief benefit on February 19 in Bristol, England. Other bands on that bill include MASSIVE ATTACK, PORTISHEAD, and the CORAL.

Lundi 7 février, Robert Plant sera l'invité exceptionnel de Laurent Lavige, dans "Onde De Choc", de 23h30 à 00h30, en direct sur France Inter. A cette occasion, Robert Plant présentera, en exclusivité, deux titres extraits de son nouvel album.

Robert Plant sera l'une des têtes d'affiche du festival Rock En Scène qui se déroulera fin août à Paris.

"Shine It All Around" comes off Plant's new solo album, "Mighty Rearranger", due May 10 via Sanctuary Records. Credited to Plant and his current band the STRANGE SENSATION, "Mighty Rearranger" is his first studio work since 2002's "Dreamland".

According to Billboard.com, "Mighty Rearranger" was written in Snowdonia in Wales and Solsbury Hill in Somerset, England, with the STRANGE SENSATION, which consists of guitarist Justin Adams, drummer Clive Deamer, pianist John Baggott, Skin Tyson (once of '90s U.K. rock act CAST) and bassist Billy Fuller.

Le 104 de France Inter ouvre ses portes à une légende du rock dans une nouvelle configuration.



Jeudi 9 juin prochain, Robert Plant et son groupe The Strange Sensation occuperont la scène pour enflammer le studio 104, en direct sur l’antenne de France Inter.



Après Arno, Peter Gabriel, Ben Harper et Diana Krall, c’est au tour de l’ex-chanteur du groupe Led Zeppelin d’offrir un concert particulier aux auditeurs de France Inter à l’occasion d’une soirée extraordinaire.



Chanteur d’un des groupes les plus fameux des années 70, Robert Plant a développé depuis les années 80, une carrière solo aux multiples orientations et formations. Après plusieurs retrouvailles et tournées avec son compère Jimmy Page et des expériences tournées vers la musique nord africaine, il a sorti avec le groupe The Strange Sensation son premier album « Dreamland » en 2002.



Composé de musiciens venus des groupes britanniques leaders des années 90, Clive Deamer (batterie) ex-Portishead et Roni Size projects, John Baggott (basse) ex-Portishead et Massiv Attack, Billy Fuller (basse), Skin Adams (guitare d’ambiance) ex-Cast, Justin Adams (gimbri, darbouka, guitare) ex-Sinead O’Connor, Jah Wobble et Waymark Shakes, the Strange Sensation et Robert Plant proposeront dès le 3 mai prochain « Mighty Rearranger » leur nouvel album ouvert aux influences de tout horizon, rythme nord-africain, son électrique…



Jeudi 9 juin, ils nous donnent rendez-vous dès 21h avec ce nouvel album à découvrir pour la première fois en live et quelques chansons pour nous faire revivre les grandes heures du rock. Un moment de musique pure.

En une semaine, "Mighty ReArranger", le nouvel album de Robert Plant and the Strange Sensation est passé de la 64ème à la 23ème place du Top Album !

Si vous avez apprécier la prestation live de Robert Plant lors de son passage dans l'émission Trafic sur France 2, jeudi dernier, nous vous rappelons qu'un concert événement "Live au 104" aura lieu le 9 juin prochain en direct sur France Inter.

La distribution des places pour ce concert gratuit aura lieu le vendredi 3 juin, à partir de 17 h00, à la Maison de la Radio, 116 avenue du Président Kennedy 75016 Paris. Bon je l"écoute enfin après avoir bien hésité, le père Plant ne m'a jamais vraiment convaincu en solo et même le dernbier album avec Page ne m'avait pas plu, mais la je découvre un très bel album, Plant chante magnifiquement, la zique est superbe, on ressort de l'écoute comme après un long voayge, une très bonne surprise

Launch Radio Networks reports: If you didn't get to see Robert Plant and his band the STRANGE SENSATION on their recent North American tour, you can still check them out in a live setting. Plant is selling a four-song live EP the group recorded at a show in Paris on June 9. It has three songs from their album "Mighty Rearranger" — "Shine It All Around", "Freedom Fries" and "Tin Pan Alley" — as well as LED ZEPPELIN's "When the Levee Breaks". "Robert Plant and The Strange Sensation Live In Paris" is available on CD or as a digital download, and the proceeds go to Turtle Will, an organization dedicated to helping indigenous peoples in the African nations of Ethiopia, Mali, and Niger.
