The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marks the first recording with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers. Joining frontman Glen Benton and drummer Steve Asheim in the new formation are guitarists Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH) and Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE). |

la tournée a commencée donc, mais sans Benton!! Floridian death metallers DEICIDE kicked off their European tour on Friday, January 5 without frontman Glen Benton, who reportedly was forced to stay home to take care of pressing legal matters (although this has not been officially confirmed). Replacing Benton for the first four dates of DEICIDE's tour is SEVERE TORTURE drummer Seth van Loo, who previously took care of vocals in CENTURIAN and NOX. Seth van Loo apparently learned 17 songs in one afternoon and did "a great job" at the first show of the trek, which took place in Eindhoven, Holland. [NOTE: Seth van Loo is only signing in the band; he is NOT playing bass. There is currently no replacement bassist in the group.] These are the remaining dates of DEICIDE's European tour that will feature Seth van Loo on vocals: Jan. 07 - GER - Saarbrucken @ Roxy Jan. 08 - HOL - Rotterdam @ Baroeg enfin normalement le gros Glen devrait etre de retour apres ces dates |

Remarque, la basse dans Deicide hein, elle est assez facultative (comme dans plein de groupes). Mais Deicide sans Benton, c'est comme une bière sans alcool. |

Oui le gros Glen devrait etre de Paris : According to DEICIDE's European booking agent, Massive Music, the band's frontman, Glen Benton, will join the group's in-progress European tour on January 13 in Paris, France after being forced to miss the first week of dates due to what is believed to be a pressing legal matter back home in Florida. |

Floridian death metal stalwarts DEICIDE were detained today in Innsbruck, Austria for.... bank robbery. DEICIDE drummer Steve Asheim got up early this morning to make a trip to the bank to deposit some money from merch sales when the bank staff became suspicious of his appearance and the fact that much of the money was marked with red dye. Staff immediately called the police, who swiftly arrived and took the DEICIDE drummer down to the station, suspecting that he had been involved in a recent bank robbery in the area and that he was handling stolen banknotes. Questioned for a number of hours, Steve explained the banknotes were legitimate proceeds from touring, and that he had a leaky pen in his pocket which was responsible for the money's discoloration. Innsbruck police were eventually forced to release Steve without further charge. DEICIDE appear undeterred by the incident and will perform tonight at the Hafen club in Innsbruck as scheduled and continue with the rest of the European tour.
