Groupe de metal avec des tripes et qui prend aux tripes fondé autour de membres de Pantera, Crowbar et Corossion of Conformity. Sa musique est lourde et plein d'un feeling puisé au fin fond du bayou de la Louisiane.
Ils sortent leur premier album en 95, appelé NOLA (New Orlean Lousiana) ce qui aura une influence notoire sur la tournure artistique que prendra Pantera avec son Great Southern trendkill
En 2002 sort II - A Bustle In Your Hedgerow Todd Strange bassiste sur Nola (ex Crowbar) est remplacé par Rex Brown (Pantera). Phil Anselmo annonce alors qu'il en a marre de Pantera premiére étape de la route qui ménera au split de ces derniers.
Enfin en 2007 le groupe revient avec III - over the under entre temps Dimebag Darrel a été tué, Anselmo a été interdit de funérailles, Katerina a ravagé la Nouvelle Orleans et le pére Phil a muri (enfin !) tout ceci se ressent dans cet album.
