U.K. progressive metallers THRESHOLD are hoping to release their new live CD, "Surface to Stage", in time for their live performance next month at the ProgPower UK festival. You can check out the CD artwork at this location.
"Surface to Stage" was recorded at Z7 in Pratteln, Switzerland during THRESHOLD's "Subsurface" tour in 2004 and it marks the first time that the band have released such epic tracks as "The Art of Reason", "Into The Light" and "Echoes Of Life" in a live format. The album will be sold direct to the fans through the THRESHOLD web site, www.thresh.net, in the same way as the "Replica" album was released in 2004.
THRESHOLD will perform at the U.K.'s first-ever ProgPower UK festival on March 25, building on the success of the festival franchise in the U.S. and central Europe. Other bands on the bill include THERION, ORPHANED LAND, PAGAN'S MIND, SECRET SPHERE, FIREWIND and FREEDOM CALL. All ticket holders will receive a compilation CD featuring about 14 bands including a radio version of THRESHOLD's "Mission Profile". Ticket holders will also be entered into a draw to win a Maverick guitar signed by all the bands, which will be presented onstage by THRESHOLD guitarist Karl Groom.
