After playing a string of European dates last year, Danish/American hard rockers ROYAL HUNT picked the historic stage of St. Petersburg, Russia's Music Hall to film their new "live in concert" DVD on. A beautiful old theatre and some 1500+ enthusiastic fans created great atmosphere for this Nov. 2, 2005 event, which lasted about two hours (the band played a wide selection of songs from all of their releases since 1991 and some tracks from the latest CD, "Paper Blood") and was captured by six cameras. The package will also include some backstage/pre-production footage as well as interviews with all the bandmembes and their roadcrew. A spring release is expected.

ROYAL HUNT recently completed a tour in support of their latest album, "Paper Blood". The follow-up to 2003's "Eyewitness" was recorded at North Point studio in Copenhagen and was mixed at EMI/Medley Studio in Copenhagen with André Andersen (keyboards) and Lars Overgaard behind the board.

ROYAL HUNT recently announced the addition of bassist Per Schelander (HOUSE OF SHAKIRA, SPIKE) to the group's ranks.

Frontiers Records will release the new ROYAL HUNT live two-CD and DVD set, "2006 Live", on December 8.

ROYAL HUNT is a major force in the melodic metal scene, having released eight studio albums which have sold well over a million copies worldwide. The band underwent a major transition in December 2004 when guitarist Jacob Kjaer and bass player Steen Mogensen left the group and were replaced by guitarist Marcus Jidell, a scene veteran of JEKYLL & HYDE and THE RING, and returning drummer Kenneth Olsen. The bass position was filled in July 2005 by HOUSE OF SHAKIRA and SPIKE man Per Schelander. Together with main songwriter Andre Andersen on keyboards and extraordinary singer John West, they picked the historic stage of St. Petersburg's Music Hall to film their new 'live-in-concert" DVD on. A beautiful old theatre and some 1,000+ enthusiastic fans created great atmosphere for this event, which lasted about two hours (the band played a wide selection of songs from all of their releases since 1991 and some tracks from the latest one, "Paper Blood") and was captured by seven cameras.

The DVD — to be released in NTSC format region free and with mix in 2.0 and 5.1 — is a truly extraordinary package which also includes some backstage footage as well as interviews with bandmembers and their road crew, while the two-CD set is the ultimate ROYAL HUNT package, an essential item for all the longtime fans and a celebration for the years to come.

A titre informatif :

! Notamment ou sont Total Recall et Break Your Chains ? (je parle pas des anciens albums)
