Frontiers Records has revealed the details surrounding the much-anticipated PRETTY MAIDS comeback album, entitled "Wake Up To The Real World", to be released on November 10, 2006.

PRETTY MAIDS is a legendary hard rock/heavy metal combo from Denmark founded in early 1982 by guitarist Ken Hammer and singer Ronnie Atkins.

After 10 studio albums, two EPs, one "best of" collection and two live albums, the band in 2002 celebrated its 20th anniversary with the release of the album "Planet Panic", followed by a successful European tour. But at the end of the same year they decided to take a long break from recording and touring. Now in 2006 the band is finally ready to release its new effort.

Commented singer Ronnie Atkins: “The new record has all the trademarks a good PRETTY MAIDS album should have, and that's the overall combination of good melodies and strong guitar riffs. But the keyword, as far as I'm concerned, is it's gotta be melodic: whether it's the heavier and faster tracks or the more ballad/AOR-oriented kind of stuff; in other words 'good songs', and I think the album has got that!"

With renewed energy, new visions, a new drummer (former ROYAL HUNT skinsman Allan Tsichaja) and a brand new album, PRETTY MAIDS is once again ready to face the crowd and rock the world.

Le comeback d'ancien groupe sont trés à la mode se temps si !

Tiens, bizarre que cette news tombe maintenant, on parlait de ce groupe avec Khayman y'a pas longtemps.
J'connais que les 2 1ers albums, que j'aime beaucoup (surtout Future World), un de ces jours faudra que j'essaie les suivants (Scream ou Carpe Diem peut-etre).
Bah du coup avec ce nouvel album ça me permettra de voir un peu où ils en sont.

J'ai les 2 1ers, qui sont des chefs d'oeuvres, et aussi "Anything worth doing" qui avait été trés bien acceuilli à sa sortie mais qui est quand même loin d'être à la hauteur des 1er albums, il y a deux ou trois qui tuent et le reste est juste sympa. Ca m'a pas trop donné envie d'écouter les autres albums, mais je vais écouter ces samples.

Bof, je suis vraiment pas convaincu ça m'a l'air bien mou tout ça. De toute façon Pretty Maids, à part Red Hot et Future World ils ont pas eu une super carrière...

Pretty Maids n'a jamais arrêté et sort un album tous les deux ans.

Le point faible du groupe (à part sur Future World) c'est de proposer trois tueries par album et ensuite que des titres moyens...
Faudrait qu'un jour il ressorte un disque avec que des titres comme "Snakes in Eden" sur Anyting worth...
Dans les vieux, j'aime beaucoup Jump the gun, qui est plus US que Future World mais dont une bonne moitié est vraiment réussie.

j'ai écouté quelques titres de futur world comme le titre eponyme et love games, le reste de cet album est t'il du meme calibre ?

Oui, mon morceau préféré c'est "yellow rain". De toute façon c'est un des meilleurs albums des 80's, un classique.

T'as deux titres FM, "Rodeo" et "Love games", une ballade "Eye of the storm" (bof bof), trois titres speedés "Loud'n'proud", "Needles in the dark" et "Yellow rain" (qui est à Pretty Maids ce que "Coming home" est à Scorpions), et trois titres heavy "Future world", "We came to rock" et "Long way to go". Un bel équilibre.

Je mettrais plutôt "future world" (qui est trés speed) dans le même lot que "needles in the dark", "we came to rock" et "long way to go" c'est plus du heavy rock.

Tiens si quelqu'un avait l'idee judicieuse de les faire tourner un peu en france et notamment en province eux !
