J'en suis à ma 8e ou 10e écoute, et cet album comporte qq titres exceptionnels quand même ( BRING ME VICTORY ! ), et les parties de violon sont tres judicieuses ( là de suite je trouve ça plus mature que ce que faisait M. Powell). Bref, ça a l'air d'être un album un peu moins passe-partout que le précédent,avec plus de parties en son clair, la disto étant utilisée avec parcimonie, mais toujours bien Doom.
Mention spéciale à Mr Stainthorpe qui nous livre là une belle palette de son talent.

U.K. doom legends MY DYING BRIDE have issued the following update:

"Katie [Stone, violin/keyboards] is no longer taking part in MY DYING BRIDE. After confirming to play all of the shows we presently have booked, she decided she did not want to do them, stating the reason being as 'I want to concentrate on my career.' She is presently a parttime psychology student. So make of that what you will.

"The kind chap who came in to replace her is called Shaun Macgowan. He has been rehearsing with us for no time at all and has shown great commitment already. He will not be being classed as a full-time member until he has passed his probationary period with us, which is now 30 years.

"If you would like to welcome Shaun in the only way MDB fans can, that would be a great test of his character. And by 'the only way,' I mean to complain that he is not Martin. Forever.
"The band overall are saddened by the lineup change, we think more for you than us. But as anyone who saw the show at the Wave Gotik in Leipzig will confirm, we have lost nothing."

MY DYING BRIDE's latest album, "For Lies I Sire", was released on March 23 via Peaceville Records. The follow-up to 2006's "A Line of Deathless Kings" was recorded with longtime producer Mags.

Ca me fait penser, j'ai l'album (encore sous cello) en double, si jamais ça interesse quelqu'un...

Ils sont encore en vie eux ? J'pensais qu'ils s'étaient foutus en l'air d'puis l'temps.

Plus sérieusement, j'ai que The Angel And The Dark River, que j'aime bien sans en être fou à sauter partout. Le peu que j'ai écouté de récent m'avait pas marqué, je trouve ça vite répétitif.
Celui ci est dans cette continuité ou... ?

Dans le My Dying Bride récent (enfin, plus aussi récent que ca...) je te conseille The Light at the End of the World, et accessoirement The DreadFul Hours ou Songs of Darkness.
