" ROINE STOLT: The most prolific man in prog is maintaining his steady output of releasing a minimum of 150 minutes of new music per year by releasing his third solo album Wall Street Voodoo on November 11th. Naturally it will be a double album. Neal Morse will be returning the favour of Roine Stolt playing on his latest solo album ? by appearing on Wall Street Voodoo. Morse will be lending his vocals, as well as playing the hammond organ. Other musicians on the album include Flower Kings alumni Hasse Bruniusson on percussion and Marcus Liliequest on drums, as well some rather illustrous named characters Slim Pothead (wurlitzer, mini moog and Hammond organ), Victor Woof (bass), and Gonzo Geffen (congas and loops). The latter trio had many people on the Flower Kings mailinglist guessing who might be hiding behind these pseudonyms, which prompted Stolt to state the following:
"Sorry guys, I think you're on the wrong track here, the world isn't made up of progmusicians only . The "sillynames" had to be there due to exclusive contract reasons . keep guessing but you're not close . Roine."
The tracklist of the upcoming album is as follows:
DISC ONE: 1.The Observer (11.05) 2.Head Above Water (5.25) 3.Dirt (8.15) 4.Everyone Wants To Rule The World (4.05) 5.Spirit Of The Rebel (6.10) 6.Unforgiven (3.00) 7.Dog With A Million Bones (8.10) 8.Sex Kills (7.20) 9.Outcast (7.50)
DISC TWO: 1.The Unwanted (9.00) 2.Remember (6.55) 3.It's All About Money (8.05) 4.Everybody Is Trying To Sell You Something (6.55) 5.Hotrod (The Atomic Wrestler) (9.10) 6.Mercy (2.40) 7.People That Have The Power To Shape The Future (11.05)"
" THE TANGENT: Continuing news on former Roine Stolt bands, The Tangent has been busy recording their third album. As is stated on The Tangent Website: New Members Jaime Salazar and Krister Jonsson have been recording with Jonas Reingold, Andy Tillison and Theo Travis in Sweden, Guy Manning has been recording in the UK and France. more sessions are planned at all venues, with a view to completing the album around October for release early in the new year. At present, no title for the album has been decided, but there are several possibilities. At the time of writing it does look all set to be the first Tangent double CD set. Andy Tillison has told us that... "this is the Tangent's most ambitious project to date and features at least two large scale pieces as well as some shorter and easily accessible pieces. It also features some interesting departures. The new band is great, it proved that on the recent tour, and it's terrific to be recording the new album with that lineup." The Tangent website also features extensive reports on the various recording sessions that took place all over Europe this past summer."

" ROBERT WYATT: The heavily bootlegged recording of Robert Wyatt & Friends In Concert 1974 will finally see an official release through Hannibal/Rykodisc and will be available for sale next week from 10th October 2005. On Sunday September 8th 1974, just a year or so after the accident that has left him in a wheelchair ever since, Robert Wyatt, aided and abetted by a distinguished array of friends, including Mike Oldfield, Ivor Cutler, and Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, played an historic concert at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London.
Performing the entire, classic Rock Bottom album, material from his days with Soft Machine and Matching Mole, plus an extraordinary, show-stopping version of I’m A Believer’, this concert very quickly assumed legendary status. This is the first time in 31 years that the recording of the show will be made available officially - so it is bound to be popular.
The fact that Robert has chosen to no longer play live makes this release even more poignant and valuable as a reminder of how charismatic and catalytic he was onstage. Everyone who has bought and cherished Rock Bottom, or any of Robert’s other records for that matter, will need this album to complete their picture of a man who has, over the succeeding years, established himself as one of our most unique, enduring and well-loved artists.
1. Introduction by John Peel 2. Dedicated To You But You Weren't Listening 3. Memories 4. Sea Song 5. Last Straw 6. Little Red Riding Hood Hit The Road 7. Alife 8. Alifib 9. Mind Of A Child 10. Instant Pussy 11. Signed Curtain 12. Calyx 13. Little Red Robin Hood Hit The Road 14. I'm A Believer
The Musicians were: Robert Wyatt - vocals, Dave Stewart - keyboards, Laurie Allan - drums, Hugh Hopper - bass guitar, Fred Frith - violin, guitar, viola, Mongezi Feza - trumpet, Gary Windo - reeds, Mike Oldfield - guitar, Julie Tippetts - keyboard, vocals, Nick Mason - drums, Ivor Cutler - vocals.
Further details can be found at Brian Damage and details about Robert from his own website."
Réunion exceptionnelle de musiciens qui le sont tout autant, à suivre !

"THE TANGENT: Work on the Tangent's third album has completed. As can be read on The Tangent website: The recording of the latest Tangent studio album is now complete and is intended for release in Feb 2006. Entitled A Place In The Queue the album is a lengthy piece, (79 mins) and a kind of equivalent to the old style "Double Album" even though it occupies a single CD. Early copies will feature a bonus CD featuring 3 otherwise unreleased tracks (including a studio recording of the song "Forsaken Cathedrals" which the band were touring earlier this year), some out-takes, demos and general experimentation. The two CD version will be released in a lavish Digipack cover, with an open-out extra artwork feature by Ed Unitsky.
1. In Earnest 2. Lost In London 3. DIY Surgery 4. GPS Culture 5. Follow Your Leaders 6. The Sun In My Eyes 7. A Place In The Queue
The Tangent Website will shortly be undergoing a major overhaul to mark this event, and there will be samples available to download when that happens."

News Porcupine Tree :
(de "Chemical Harvest", le forum français)
" le concert du 19.11.05 à Cologne sera filmé par la chaîne allemande WDR ROCKPALAST pour une diffusion partielle ( 75 minutes ) début janvier :
http://www.rockpalast.de/konzerte/2005/porcupine_tree/
on Monday 9th January 2006 00.30 - 01.45 (Sunday night into Monday morning)
on trouve relativement facilement les concerts de cette chaîne sur internet ou en réseau peer-to-peer donc je pense qu'il en sera de même pour celui-ci ...
à faire circuler ensuite."
Excellent pour patienter avant le DVD !!! :):)

" THE TANGENT: In preparation for the February 3rd release of their new album A Place In The Queue , the official Tangent site has been completely re-vamped and overhauled. Site highlights...
Full artwork - Sound samples - Album preview
Your first change to see Ed Unitskys full artwork for the new album in a 'flash media' presentation. Ed worked closely with the band from the first album demos onwards and has provided themed artwork for nearly every track.
We now also have some sound samples of the new album available for download, a large 'making of' article written by Andy Tillison and a early album - track by track - preview
Members of the bands new mailing list can also download an exclusive live track from their headline perfmormance earlier this year at the 'Rosfest' festival, USA."
Les extraits sont cools, déjà un bon album à prévoir pour le début de 2006 !

Idem :
"SYLVAN: The following is taken from Sylvan's recent newsletter: After almost one year of hard work we are about to finalize the production of our fifth and sixth studio album and are ready to release both of them during the year 2006. Both CDs are following a different conceptional approach and therefore won¹t be released together.
In order to continue our musical development, we decided to go two different ways on two independent records. Although in the beginning of the process we were rather unsure whether we would be able to continue this path of separation during the composing work rigorously, we are now more than happy to see the product of our efforts. We are confident that you will agree with us, when you hold both CDs in your hands.
The first CD will be entitled Posthumous Silence and is our first real concept album! In the tradition of Marillions's Brave, Saga's Generation 13 or IQ's Subterranea we follow on this work a clear storyline and have connected all songs to form a global musical theme.
The second CD has the working title Presets and focuses on the opposite strength of Sylvan's music. It is a rock album which consists of several shorter, but highly emotional songs with epic choruses and a clear structure. Those of you, who think that our music sometimes is too long or complicated, will love this album!
The expected release date of Posthumous Silence will be at the beginning of March 2006. We still don¹t know exactly when Presets will follow.
Those of you, who would like to get a first impression of the new material is invited to come to our Christmas show in Hamburg the 21st of December 2005 in the LOGO.
Logo - Hamburg 21st December 2005 To all the other, who can¹t join us there, we would like to wish you a merry Xmas and a wonderful new year.
Best wishes from Hamburg, Matthias, Marco, Volker, Sebastian and Kay [Sylvan]"
