Finnish melodic power metallers THUNDERSTONE have lined up the following dates during the coming months:

In other news, THUNDERSTONE have commenced the songwriting process for their next album. "Tentative plans include hitting the studio in late summer," the band write on their web site. "The release date has not been set, but a late 2006 or early 2007 release is anticipated."

THUNDERSTONE's third full-length album, "Tools of Destruction", was released in the U.S. in June 2005 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed at Timo Tolkki's (STRATOVARIUS) Goldenworks studio with producer/guitarist Nino Laurenne.

British metallers ANATHEMA have been confirmed as the headliners of the Metalliance Festival on Saturday, May 6 in Beauvais, Northern France. The three-day event takes place May 5-7 and will be held in the Elispace concert hall in Beauvais. Other confirmed bands include KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST and OCEANSIZE.

As previously reported, ANATHEMA mastermind Daniel Cavanagh will undertake a solo, acoustic Norwegian tour in March. His set will feature mainly ANATHEMA classics past and present, plus various cover versions. The shows will be stripped down, featuring Danny with just a guitar a keyboard/piano in the most imtimate possible setting. The dates are as follows:

Mar. 16 - Bergen, NOR @ Garage
Mar. 17 - Trondheim, NOR @ Kafe Larssen
Mar. 18 - Oslo, NOR @ Tut og Kjør

ANATHEMA's previously announced U.K./Irish tour as the support act for H.I.M. — originally scheduled for January — has been postponed until April.

Bon c'est pas loin de chez et en plus j'ai cours ni le vendredi, ni le lundi donc je vais essayer de me faire les trois jours. =)

ça me tente bien pour le samedi et le dimanche (le vendredi ça va être dur d'y être avec le boulot et le monde qui part en week end!)...et ce malgré tous les problèmes connus par le passé, je vais redonner uen chance à ce fest, car l'afiche ets quand même excellent!

Sweden's TIAMAT have been confirmed for the Metalliance festival, set to take place May 4-7 in France. The band will also perform at the Metal Heads' Mission festival on August 13 in Ukraine.

Par contre pour calculer la durée de passage d'un groupe je ne sais pas si tout s'enchaine sur la même scène ou bien si c'est alterné sur 2 scènes.

Pour le coup la soirée de vendredi soir risque de voir son planning décalé, en raison du report / annulation de la tournée de the Gathering.

Et le samedi/dimanche suffiront pour moi. Faut que j'aille prendre mon billet.

Tiens dans le Courrier Picard d'aujourd'hui, il y a une pleine page sur ce festival avec une belle photo d'Anathema (ça change des gueules avinées des chasseurs picards qui peuplent d'ordinaire ce journal ) et une présentation de quelques groupes et un historique du festival qui avait lieu auparavant à Compiègne.

Et on ne m'a pas prévenu !!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH ( cri d'horreur ).
J'ai déjà un truc de prévu...

"We are very sorry to announce that we have cancelled the planned show at the Metalliance festival in Beauvais [France] [on May 5]. We want you to know that this was entirely beyond our control. Our agent sent dozens of emails and spoke to the promoter on the phone several times, but regardless of all our efforts, no advance payment was ever made and without advance payment it is impossible for us to buy flight tickets. In addition, after tarrying so long the flight tickets would have cost us more than our fee, so we had no other option than to cancel the show. We were truly looking forward to play in France after a two-year break, but unfortunately due to unprofessional business this did not happen. We are sorry but look forward to be back in France as soon as possible!"
