Message PAIN OF SALVATION - DVD !
Vu sur www.dprp.net :

"PAIN OF SALVATION: here's an update from Daniel Gildenlow ...
"So, lots of people are asking what's happening and, to still your hunger, here is a little update on what we are up to at the moment:

We are putting together a nice DVD for you, with some nice bonus material for those who crave it. Problem right now is we haven't decided on the title yet, but we have a bunch of good ones to choose from. "Sub Par", "Briefly Described", "Insert Random Word-Joke Containing the Word 'LIVE'", "Not a Concept" and "Want Your Name Here?" are just a few of them. We'll see what comes down when we have shaken it long enough...

Well, most of you know that Léo Margarit from France is the new drummer of the band. We are rehearsing new material now and learning to know each other musically as well as personally - and he is also in the process of moving to Sweden! Russia.

We visited Moscow, Russia, some weeks back, and we had a great time. The crowd was great, and we had a good time with both organizers, press and fans. We hope to come back as soon as possible. We need to see the Red Square in daylight (with less Disney vibe) and personally I really want to visit the Museum of National History. For those who have not yet seen the clips on YouTube (why do we even bother to make DVDs when we can have lousy recordings released anyway and not even have to bother about getting paid for it), we did a nice rendition of Ashes together with a nice Russian singer named Kiril. We performed sitting in a ring on stage, playing on three balalaikas and spoons, I might add. Now that's a scenery Symphony X will never offer you! :)"
Rumour has it that the title of the DVD will be "Office of Strategic Contemplation" and the setlist the night the DVD was shot was as follows:

01. Scarsick (Scarsick)
02. America (Scarsick)
03. ! (Entropia)
04. Nightmist (Entropia)
05. Handful of Nothing (One Hour By The Concrete Lake)
06. New Year's Eve (One Hour By The Concrete Lake)
07. Ashes (The Perfect Element Part I)
08. Undertow (Remedy Lane)
09. This Heart of Mine/Song for the Innocent (Remedy Lane/The Perfect Element Part I)
10. Chain Sling (Remedy Lane)
11. Diffidentia (Be)
12. Flame to the Moth (Scarsick)
13. Disco Queen (Scarsick)
14. Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover)
15. Cribcaged (Scarsick)
16. Used (The Perfect Element Part I)
"

Yes, je suis preneur !!! :ok:

Et le nouvel album va commencer à être enregistré :

Citation:
And so we have commenced recording on the next world of Pain of Salvation. The “real” recording is scheduled to start November 4, but we have already recorded two songs and it sounds great. We have brought the studio to the rehearsing room and record all instruments at once this time - determined to get true and honest takes. That means we all have to be on edge and get it right, and stay 100% in the song while recording. Finally we are catching those naked and trembling emotions that we always miss from the original demo recordings of every album. Musically the album is heading for a spot somewhere between the threatening vibes of Faith no More, the raw energy of Foo Fighters, the soul of Jeff Buckley and the drone of Zeppelin and the Doors. Sound-wise we are talking 1976 on steroids. All with an unbendable core of Pain of Salvation of course.

Arf, bah tiens, rien que ça.

Bizarre, j'ai déjà l'impresison d'avoir dit ça quelque part... :D

So, you thought you found the content listing of the new DVD online? Well, just forget it; this is the official one, straight from the mouths of Pain of Salvation!

So, we’re looking at a nice 2DVD/2CD box with two entire seasons of the legendary series ENDING THEMES and the second season in a nice politically incorrect “For the Seeing Impaired” version, including audio only. For a more thorough content description, read on…

ENDING THEMES
On the Two Deaths of Pain of Salvation

————————————————–

DVD1: SEASON ONE

ENDING THEMES is the groundbreaking TV series that shocked a whole world (still uncertain which world) when it was first broadcasted. Thought to have been lost forever during the great war (wee bit uncertain as to which one), copies of the original tapes were found hidden under the floor boards of the Berlin Museum of Rather Contemporary Good Films after the wall came down (most likely the Iron Curtain, or possibly a Chinese one). Now, digitally restored into a massive Director’s Cut never before seen on TV or anywhere else, this monumental work of cinematic art is finally available on DVD! Back to shock the world once again, this first season tells us the haunting story of five nearly young boys (wonderfully portrayed by five unknown Swedish actors), preparing themselves for an amazing journey into the unknown on which they will meet deceit, happiness, lies, Belgium, truths, love, and ultimately themselves, in a desperate pursuit of a mutual dream called Music. And as this fragile dream clashes with harsh reality, we watch them grow into five nearly young men. But what happens to a dream, when the dreamers change? Or part…? Alas, the depths of curiosity, as we stumble aching into this classic bildungsroman that is THE FIRST DEATH OF PAIN OF SALVATION.

DVD2: SEASON TWO

In this second season of ENDING THEMES we follow Daniel (wonderfully brought to life by Daniel Gildenlow, who also played other Daniels in Meet the Flower Kings, Transatlantic and “BE”), who meets with his jolly friends to perform music in Amsterdam (filmed on actual location in Amsterdam), but they all have emotional scars to deal with, after the somewhat sore break-up with former bass player and family member, and jolly friend, Kristoffer (here played by Simon Andersson, nominated somewhere for Best Newcomer), as hinted at in season one. Meanwhile, their jolly friend Léo Margarit (beautifully portrayed by Johan Langell, who won a Granny for Best Male Actor With Sticks for his part in “BE”) is fighting his own demons, haunted by enticing visions of a mythical nirvana called Svenssonliv. This really gets to his jolly friend Johan (Hallgren, who is actually played by himself!). And how many Johans can there be in a band, or a series? And what might happen if he knew that his jolly friend Fredrik (Hermansson, who also played one of the unknown Swedish actors in season one) is secretly christened Johan too? The plot is thickening in this second season of the groundbreaking series Ending Themes, as we slowly approach THE SECOND DEATH OF PAIN OF SALVATION.
