À propos du nouvel album, Jay Buchanan commente : « Darkfighter représente la mitose culturelle de l’isolement, la pandémie, et le tissu national des États-Unis qui devient de plus en plus lâche. Quand je dis ‘Mitose culturelle’, il y a des lignes qui se dessinent constamment. Nous sommes tellement divisés, et vous ne pouvez pas dépasser les limites sans offenser quelqu’un. Cela a certainement influencé mon écriture […] Il y a des thèmes forts sur ce disque : la perte d’identité, la préservation de la joie, et le fait de revoir la lumière et la forme. »

Pas vraiment emballé par "Dark Fighter" alors que j'avais adoré "Feral Roots". Et puis cette prod trop compressée ruine toute la dynamique de leurs morceaux, très appréciable en live. J'ai un peu peur pour le suivant du coup...
