British Lion - The Burning

Explorer1 Music (E1) has announce a new collaboration in the U.S. with the release of IRON MAIDEN bassist and founder Steve Harris's second album with BRITISH LION, the "up close and personal" side project he devotes his time to, outside of his MAIDEN activities, which will be followed by an 18-date U.S. tour (details below).
"The Burning" features 11 new songs and will be released worldwide on January 17, 2020 in digipack CD, double gatefold vinyl and digital download formats.
BRITISH LION comprises vocalist Richard Taylor, guitarists David Hawkins and Grahame Leslie, Steve Harris on bass and keyboards and drummer Simon Dawson.
Recorded, engineered and mixed at Barnyard Studios by Tony Newton and produced by Steve Harris, "The Burning" is crammed with powerful hard rock melodies, with two songs "Lightning" and "Spit Fire" being made available for immediate download from tomorrow with all album pre-orders.
"Lightning" is also available to listen to now ahead of the digital release tomorrow.

J’ai fini par me l’offrir. Il est bien meilleur que le premier. Le chanteur a plus d’assurance et de conviction. Je suis décidément très fan de Tony Newton qui a façonné un très bon son. J’espère qu’il va s’occuper du prochain Maiden!

Je me le suis offert également et j'aime beaucoup, bien meilleur que le premier qui était assez quelconque il est vrai. Et j'aime également le chant qui donne son identité au groupe, je ne comprends pas qu'il soit autant critiqué (il se fait descendre dans la chro de Rock Hard notamment).

Le chant n’est clairement pas le point fort de ces lions mais ça passe mieux que sur le premier opus. Le principal défaut du premier était le manque de pêche qui est corrigé ici.

Après quelques écoutes, un bon disque de Hard Rock, ça passe bien par un côté catchy et direct.
