Ajoutons à ça que Sorychta, lors de sa participation au Rock Hard Festival en Mai, a rejoué des titres de Grip Inc et aurait laissé entendre qu'il n'excluait pas la possibilité d'un projet d'une hypothétique reformation...

Reste à voir ce qu'en pense Lombardo.

Bon en lisant la niouz par contre, je suis pas si sûr que ça se fasse. C'est jouable mais ce n'est pas fait.

Je sais pas si King appréciera de voir Lombardo jouer dans un groupe plus inspiré que le sien.

J'ai oublié de dire que Sorychta a déclaré avoir dans ses tiroirs pas mal de squelettes de morceaux qui avaient été mis de côté pendant les sessions d'Incorporated.

A la limite, ça pourrait très bien être Sorychta, Chambers et un autre batteur.... Il fait quoi, Gene Hoglan, en ce moment ?

Ouais mais non. Grip Inc. c'est Sorychta, Chambers et Lombardo. Le groupe doit beaucoup au jeu de ce dernier. Il insufle une de ces pêches à ces derniers...

je lis mal ou Slayer annonce un ultime album et puis basta ???

Ils en parlent depuis un moment déjà. Il y a de grandes chances que le prochain album soit le dernier.

Oui King le disait il y a quelques temps, il ne voyait pas faire ça encore longtemps tellement c'est usant, et bon Araya a pris un sacré coup de vieux, autant être raisonnable

C'est plus sage en effet.

Surtout que les dérnières réalisations de Slayer ne sont pas au top ultime, du coup c'est peut etre mieux plutot que de tomber dans le ridicule!

ca fait un album de Grip Inc pour 2010 donc, ils seront pas trop vieux eux même pour ça? ça leur fait quel âge à Gus Chambers?

Plutot une bonne nouvelle dans l'ensemble.
Que SLAYER ne termine pas sur "Christ Illusion" c'est positif. Et ce sera pas bien difficile de faire mieux que cet album (l'un des pires du groupe).
Que GRIP INC récupère éventuellement LOMBARDO.

Sinon dans la SLAYER Team c'est surtout ARAYA qui est crevé (il en peut plus Tom des tournées).

Lombardo est né en 65.
Sorychta en 67.
Chambers en 56.

Si c'est vrai, c'est effectivement une excellente nouvelle. Ils ont pas eu le succès qu'ils méritaient quand ils étaient actifs.

Ca vient du webmaster du site officiel de Waldemar Sorychta (ce dernier a confirmé la déclaration).

La reformation n'aura jamais lieu. Et pour cause : Gus Chambers s'est suicidé.


"Former GRIP INC. vocalist Gus Chambers passed away on October 13, 2008 at the age of 52. Chambers, who resided in Coventry, England, reportedly took his own life.

According to the Coventry Telegraph, Chambers made a name for himself in the UK punk scene as the frontman for SQUAD in the late '70s. He later took his skills as a top notch front-man to the new band 21 GUNS. They released the single "Ambition Rock" on Neville Staples's Shack Records.

Gus later moved to America and formed SONS OF DAMNATION before hooking up with SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo and German guitarist Waldemar Sorychta in GRIP INC. They released three acclaimed albums in the mid-to-late '90s — "Power of Inner Strength" (1995), "Nemesis" (1997), and "Solidify" (1999) — and finally came back with a fourth entitled "Incorporated" in 2004, which was greeted as a true return to form by the critics.

Gus was most recently a member of the Coventry, UK punk band MANTRA SECT which was scheduled to play its next concert tonight (Friday, October 17).

In an October 15, 2008 online posting, MANTRA SECT bassist Wendy X stated about Gus' decision to take his own life, "My emotions are swimming round and round in my head, trying to comprehend it all, so I will not say too much on here except to say to everyone that has asked why, as I do myself, that we were always, as normal, constantly in contact with him (myself virtually daily) yet none of us saw this coming. Nor many other friends that also constantly kept in touch with him either. We are at a loss about why. My usual daily phone calls with Gus all the days leading up to this didn't give any clue whatsoever that anything was THIS wrong."

"I've been very lucky in my career," Gus once said, according to the Coventry Telegraph. "I have had the privilege of playing in front of thousands of people at festivals like Rock in Rio and the Dynamo festival in Holland. Nothing though brings back fonder memories than playing in front of maybe 20 or 30 people in The Hand and Heart or the back room of The Swanswell."
