Et Sea of Lies... et plein d'autres trucs que j'ai oubliés. Mais c'était bien, ça oui.

Ceci dit je persiste : j'ai jamais entendu une once de puissance guitaristique chez DT, même dans ToT. Comme tu dis c'est pas Dark Tranquillity

Dans ToT c'est pas étonnant, franchement. Regarde le DVD Images And Words - Live In Tokyo, et si tu ne vois aucune puissance guitaristique dans DT, ben... dommage pour toi !

Tout pareil, mais bizarrement je me souviens de 'King of Terrors' avec le visage de Russell éclairé quelques instants par un faisceau rouge sang au milieu de la pénombre. Effet garanti !

Headline, leur premier album est très sympa avec son petit côté FM. Après, ça se gâte.....

SYMPHONY X's webmaster has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Just spoke to Michael James Romeo [SYMPHONY X guitarist] and got caught up on things. He reports that they will start recording in the beginning of July; they're currently finishing up one song and putting final touches on a couple of others. Mike said that since writing has taken this long, they've chosen to finetune the songs before entering the studio; they've put a lot of time into pre-production on this one."

SYMPHONY X's follow-up to 2002's "The Odyssey" is tentatively due this fall. The band expect to return to the road shortly after the release of the new CD.

SYMPHONY X bassist Michael LePond recently underwent surgery after being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease (an inflammatory bowel disorder) and is expected to fully recover.

SYMPHONY X were one of the second-stage bands at last summer's Gigantour, a six-week festival trek co-headlined by MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER. "Rarities and Demos", the first fan club CD from the SYMPHONY X fan club, Church of the Machine, was shipped out in July 2005 to fan club members. The CD includes demo material, rare unreleased material, and guitarist Michael James Romeo's interpretation of the "Star Wars" theme, done with over 15 guitar tracks.

Le titre serait Paradise Lost, mais apparemment ils n'auraient pas viré gothique.

J'espère que ce sera un grand album, il faut dire qu'il en sorte pas souvent, j'avoue que je suis resté longtemps scotché sur V, pas trop sur Odyssey, et j'espère aussi que le mixage sera bien aussi moins "pro tools" que d'habitude!

Progressive metal act SYMPHONY X is continuing work on its follow-up to 2002's "The Odyssey", entitled "Paradise Lost", tentatively due before the end of the year. The following message has been posted on the group's official web site:

"It would appear that one of the early drafts of the [new] CD cover has been leaked to at least one website; the band hasn't had a chance to okay any final artwork, so what you see floating around out there is NOT the final CD cover art.

"Jason [Rullo, drums] is done recording his parts, and the rhythm tracks and other guitar parts should be done by next week. The band's aiming to have the music ready for mixing by mid-September; Michael James Romeo [guitar] says that things are moving right along."

SYMPHONY X expects to return to the road shortly after the release of the new album.

Ah, enfin du concret ! Vivement la sortie de cet album. The Odyssey m'a un pas mal déçu (trop technique, peu de feeling), j'attends beaucoup de Paradise Lost

Moi aussi j'en attends beaucoup. The Odyssey est franchement décevant. Je le réécouterai tout à l'heure ça fait un bail que je l'ai pas fait.

Elle claque cette pochette, foi d'ancêtre!

Quelle laide pochette. tout ce que je déteste dans la CG : textures bourrins, rendu glacial, contours ultra-lisses, composition douteuse, colorimetrie syndicale et design sans charisme...

Néanmoins j'attends cet album avec impatience !

T'emballe pas, c'est pas la pochette du prochain, ça, hein.
