Le groupe de thrash metal progressif VOIVOD sortira son nouvel album, intitulé Symphonique, le 5 juin 2026 via Century Media Records.
Il s’agit d’une collaboration live avec l’Orchestre Symphonique De Québec, enregistrée le 4 juin 2025 au Grand Théâtre de Québec, au Canada.
Le batteur Michel « Away » Langevin, commente : « Cet album live avec l’Orchestre Symphonique de Québec est un rêve de longue date devenu réalité. Heureusement, nous le revivrons en 2027 avec l’Orchestre Symphonique du Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, dans la région même où VOIVOD s’est formé en 1983. Nous aimerions un jour emmener ce spectacle à travers le monde avec des orchestres locaux, mais en attendant, j’espère que vous apprécierez cette sortie épique. C’est ce qui se rapproche le plus d’une bande originale de film de science-fiction dystopique que nous ayons jamais fait — un autre de nos rêves ! »
