Witchfinder General s'est reformé en 2006 et vont enfin sortir un nouvel album.

Il y aura d'abord un album de rareté :

Witchfinder General "Buried Amongst the Ruins" CD ANTI-GOTH 075 / DUST 002 The release couples for the first time the "Burning a Sinner" 7", "Soviet Invasion" 12" and four live tracks from 1981 (including the never-before-heard "Phantasmagorical"). The package also features never-before-seen photos of the band's original recording lineup of Zeeb Parkes (vocals), Phil Cope (guitar), Toss McCready (bass) and Steve Kinsell (drums) along with gig flyers and original artwork. This is a must for all Doom freaks and NWOBHM maniacs out there.



Et le nouvel album, Resurected qui sort enfin :

Legendary NWOBHM act WITCHFINDER GENERAL's new album Resurrected will be released August 30th in the USA and September 2nd in the UK via Buried In Time And Dust Records.

The Stourbridge, UK doom legends first recording in over 25 years features the original lineup from the Live 83 LP of Phil Cope (guitar), Rod Hawkes (bass) and Dermot Redmond (drums) and adds new vocalist Gary Martin in place of original vocalist Zeeb Parkes.

Resurrected tracklisting: 'The Living Hell', 'The Gift Of Life', 'Final Justice', 'Bryn-Y-Môr', 'Brutal Existence', 'Euthanasia', 'A Night To Remember', 'The Funeral / Beyond The Grave'.


Par contre c'est une reformation sans le chanteur d'origine qui ne veut plus entendre parler du groupe (il est dans le business), dommage c'était un bon imitateur d'Ozzy..Parait que ce nouvel album est plutôt bon. A voir.

C'est vraiment étonnant quand même ces groupes qui se reforment 25 ans après un split, chapeau!
